A Republican Surprise
As the newspapers are tumbling over each other in announcing John McCain's running mate, Palin came as no surprise that not ere long he was advocating drilling in Alaska for more oil. Now Alaska is a state thats known more for its fishing and recently I watched an Al Pacino movie, Insomnia, which turned out to be better than 88, his April release.
But this blog isnt about Insomnia or 88 or for that matter 69[ a certain Kamasutra position that a few couples love to experiment ] Its about a certain date, Jan29, 2008 to be precise. Because, the coterie headed by Dick Cheney decided to go public on that date by creating the wepage you see above. It was all cut and dried, even as Hillary and Obama were going hammer and tongs in state after state and only after his nomination was a certainty, that Obama became engrossed in the search for his running mate. You may perk up and ask, how does me sitting in Bombay, come to know about an obscure site, whose Alexa ranking is, 2,717,313 as I punch this out at 2 minutes to midnight of Aug,30th/31st. Fair enough.
