The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, was quoted as saying the vastness of the universe means, " It is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones. And we should be careful in iniating contact. We should identify if the contact made with another life form is with a good being or a malignant one."

“How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?” Funes said.
“Just as we consider earthly creatures as ‘a brother,’ and ‘sister,’ why should we not talk about an ‘extraterrestrial brother’? It would still be part of creation.” In the interview by the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, Funes said that such a notion “doesn’t contradict our faith” because aliens would still be God’s crea tures. When pressed further, " All we have to do is to ask the alien of his beliefs. And if he did not recognize God then it would imply that he was Satan in disguise."
Upon hearing about the Papal nod British defence ministry on Wednesday, May 14th declassified eight files, covering the period from 1978 to 1987, about UFO sightings and subsequent military evaluations of the reports. The files contain a wide range of UFO-related documents and have details like lights in the sky over Waterloo Bridge, near misses by pilots, crop circles.
Reports of alien craft flying over Liverpool and a UFO hovering over London’s Waterloo Bridge in London, are included in the declassified files. The files were released under freedom of information law following a request from UFO researchers. “The MoD receives a large number of requests each year for information relating to UFOs, and so has introduced a system to meet this demand by releasing these historic files in a structured way,” the defence ministry said . However, the files do not contain any secrets about alien sightings.
Expressing delight at the Papal nod, the spokesman further added with a chuckle, " This should put to rest all speculation about the origins of men on Earth and women in attendance. By jove, we are now clear thaat men are Martians and women are Venusians and never will the twain agree about anything terrestrial." Quote this article on your site
